What is Loosing Weight?

Well, I’m sure you could wikipedia or Google what an average weight is, but ultimately…. I believe it’s the size your body frame was built for. But then, when you’re 250, 300, 350 lbs, sometimes you don’t know what your real weight should be. I grew up and always thought 175-85 is all I had ever dreamed about. That’s the size I was in 8th grade. I never knew what it was like to wear cool clothes in high school or college because at the time, the world had no respect for overweight people, especially fashion designers! So I write this post for you to think about – do you know what your weight really is? Or should be? Now, that I’ve lost my weight, it’s a struggle to maintain my size 10, or my frame at 160lbs.

What does Loosing weight do to you?

Loosing weight, no matter what size you are is a fabulous and monumentous feat. Loosing it because you’ve altered your stomach is a way to do it – it’s also a huge toll on your body. Not eating nearly as much affects your mineral and vitamin intake, your fat cells, your psychology, your mood swings, your hair growth, your diabetes, your blood pressure, your everything. Are you ready for all these changes?

How about:

  • Fashionable wardrobe?
  • Life Long vitamins?
  • Gossip about you?
  • Scared Family? (yes, everyone should be scared having surgery!)
  • Not having your belly hang on the steering wheel?
  • Fitting comfortably in the rides at amusements (when was the last time you enjoyed this?!)
  • Not having your thighs rub?
  • Being able to see your toes?
  • Being able to bend over to reach things in the floor?
  • Crossing your legs?
  • Putting your shoes on without loosing breath?
  • Not eating 2nds, 3rds, or worse – more plates of food than anyone else in the room, buffet or restaurant?
  • Being a CHEAP date?
  • Drinking 1 beer and getting drunk?
